Headset Comfort Data

Headset comfort is determined by weight, padding, earcup size, and contact pressure.

Contact pressure is measured with force in newtons (N), where 1 N is the force of a mass approximately of 1 kg (2.2 lbs) applied to a surface. For this purpose, we are measuring the tightness of the headband. Generally the less contact pressure, the longer the headset can be worn without discomfort. Contact pressure is a leading cause of headset discomfort and can lead to a compression headache. Our headsets are designed to relieve that pressure.

Contact Pressure

We used a pressure measurement tool, seen in the picture, to test the tightness of the headsets reported below. We used a standard measuring distance of 14cm.
